I do! eventually though sometimes I forget (there are so many comments I need to respond to rn and I am thinking about it but never actually getting around to doing it). I love comments and I love responding to comments because one of my favourite things is seeing people’s reactions to my writing it makes my entire week

What’s the fic you’ve written with the angstiest ending?

I think it’d probably be glass shards! it's not necessarily an angsty ending but it’s kinda open to interpretation, hopeful but not really happy? it's the end of the world as we know it is also pretty angsty in general but it doesn’t have an angsty ending (imo).

What’s the fic you’ve written with the happiest ending?

Daylight and colours and faith all have pretty happy endings! Daylight is probably the happiest (except the one I haven’t posted yet but shhhh). I don’t like leaving things with unhappy endings completely there always has to be some sort of hope of things getting better. it just takes some time to get there most of the time.

Do you write crossovers?

I haven’t written a crossover and I don’t really intend to? it is a lot of world building imo and I am so strongly against world building all of the time that it’s not smth I would ever do lol

it wasn’t really hate? but it was a bookmark that was just a number rating my fic out of ten which just felt unnecessary and a bit rude, especially considering that there was no other comment aside from this number. it wasn’t hate and it wasn’t a bad rating (8/10 is decent ig) but it wasn’t smth I would want as a fic writer

Do you write smut? If so, what kind?

yes. idk what kind? the general kind? the kind that makes me stare out of the window and contemplate my life choices for a good 8 minutes before turning back to my laptop screen to continue. nothing really kinky (yet but I am Thinking) but potentially more adventurous than most would participate in. that sounds pretentious :P

the sorcery au that I have a tag for but no published fic. there's about 5k in my WIP folder rn and I don’t think it’ll ever see the light of day. probably bc creating that universe involves world building and I hate world building. there's others too (I have a whole section of my WIP folder entitled ‘abandoned’) but the main reason I don’t post much/any drafts on here is bc I don’t want the pressure to finish it once I’ve shared it ? there are a lot of WIPs I want to finish but I doubt they’ll ever be completed.

dialogue is definitely my strength and it always has been. it's a very effective way to move things along in a situation and I’ve gotten very good at it over the years. which has been beneficial because…

WORLD BUILDING. MY BELOATHED MY BEHATED MY UNBELOVED. I hate world building so much and I think it’s partially bc I’m very very impatient when it comes to writing and dialogue moves things along a lot quicker. and also it’s a lot of effort :P

What are your thoughts on dialogue in other languages in a fic?

if you need it for wtv reason then make sure it’s accurate? I’ve read fics that use lines in my native language (french) that have been incorrect or have used the wrong word that means smth else (excité does not mean excited I am sorry to inform you). I use a lot of pet names in other languages but I’m not really someone who uses full dialogue in other languages. it can definitely work but it needs to be done accurately (and with translation please)

What was the first fandom you wrote for?

The maze runner. in 2017? I think? I wrote a fic out by hand (in first person lol) and posted it on wattpad. afaik it’s still there unless it got taken down during their purge

so many ships!! choscar except I have sorta written for them. brocedes but the same. honestly I want to write a lot of ships that aren’t really ships they’re more mashing two guys together that may or may not have ever interacted (charles/michael for ex. lol)

I have probably said this too many times now but colours!!! I love colours so much it is the best thing I’ve ever written and I think the concept is really interesting. I can see Jensen not telling J*red even if they are still friends, because J*red is kinda good at accidentally telling Secrets. He could have told him right before he announced it so, so that J*red didn't have to find out from twitter. He was on the show for 15 years, he is bound to get asked about it. The public twitter meltdown was really unprofessional so. Like you have Jensen's number J*red. You could have sorted that out in private like a normal person, but instead you choose to act like a toddler throwing a tantrum.

Is it weird that I'm actually going to be kinda that for them if the actually had a falling out, even tho I don't like J*red all that much. obviously liking build mart or not is heavily dependent on who you're watching because you're more likely to enjoy a certain game, if the person you're watching is having fun. as someone who has consistently watched false's pov live (false my queen 🖐️), i like build mart. at the same time, it is kind of a shitty game and i 100% get why people, especially people like dream, would hate it. i'd hate it to of i were there, bro, memory? shit.

main big thing i see (mainly on tumblr btw bc i can't stand twt) are people wanting build mart removed or changed, mainly for dream. which imo is fair, a large reason parkour warrior was changed to tag was actually because of grian, and the way grian reacted to parkour warrior is very reminiscent to how dream treats build mart ngl. but like,, they did change build mart? between seasons? it wasn't a big change, but i remember literally everyone i watched (pvpers and builders) said the new change made it so much better. and i don't think they're going to remove it, just like they're not going to remove a lot of the pvp games. people prefer different games and that's just like,, how it is ig

big thing is dream's reaction, largely because he is one of the biggest people on mcc and has such a vocal disdain for build mart, so what he says, a lot of people will go with (kinda like mid game voting y'know, just with more dts) which is what creates the discourse, people mainly parroting what their favourite little meow meow says. and ofc this fandom is.. a wild one, so discourse is Discourse and the actual problem gets so skewed. i've seen people say noxcrew is ableist because of build mart? and that they're favouring hermits? which is. strange. bc if you look at the amount of pvp games i'd say they're more definetly not

imo i like build mart, i don't think it should be removed, unless there's another building (or ngl even redstone) based game that can replace it, but even then a lot of the pvpers are still gonna hate it, so there's no real winning here, just like grian still hates parkour tag. at the end of the day, it is still literally a minecraft tournament, and this is getting blown way out of proportion, but discourse is expected, and actually a lot of the time very civil. people just like arguing, let's be real lol.

hi I just read your tags and messages about the popularity thing and realised I've been guilty of it. I'm sunwoo biased (like many) and it's really easy to get that tunnelvision. especially because of the vlives and stuff like that, the members hang out in certain groups so when you bias one member it kind of comes with getting to know some more than others. that in combination with few stans spreading the content of the underrated members. I just don't see Hak or Sangyeon that much for example since I'm mostly on tumblr and watch the vlives of sunkyunyu. I didn't realise how poorly divided my attention was but after watching the reality shows all that's left is fanmade content and vlives (since I don't use twitter or instagram). thank you for making me realise this! I hope kingdom will come with more fans and there will be more cc'ers for all the members so they get more spotlight too.

I'm thinking of making a twitter account for my art. Can you give me any tips, or pros and cons? I'm trying to get a few people's opinions before I make a definite decision.

i was gonna say i have no idea how to use twt still but then i typed all this up so ig that’s not true. hope it helps!

tips:

image ratios: 16:9 (single image), 7:8 (2 images), 7:8 + 4:7 (3 images), 2:1 (4 images). this can save you from weird/awkward cropping, i know some artists will also post a closeup or just the same image twice if they're posting a portrait orientation piece

twitter crops focus on text i think?

idk how useful tags are, i feel like how much attention my art gets isn't really correlated with using/not using them, but it doesn't hurt to tag. sometimes i do check hashtags for content

ways to organize/collect your art in one place: moments (what i personally use, i think this is the most common method), pinning a thread in which you quote rt your own art, using a personal hashtag

honestly you should use tweetdeck for the better UI, it's run by twitter so they're not gonna steal ur info or anything. it's got a ton of useful features like scheduling tweets, being able to manage multiple accounts at once, turning off notifs on things you've retweeted, etc. but also be aware that things crop differently on the main site and on tweetdeck which baffles me to no end

privatter is a great way to limit who can see a tweet (you can limit to signed-in users only, followers only, following only, password protected, only ppl on a list you create, or yourself only). how it works is you link your account, post on privatter, and then tweet the link. you can add a preview image if you'd like too. i see a lot of ppl use this for spoiler art or nsfw art. oh, also, did i mention you can edit privatter posts??

this is more of an etiquette thing, but DO NOT QUOTE RT OTHER PPL'S ART (when you click retweet there's an option to retweet with a comment - DO NOT DO THIS!!) it basically creates a new tweet, and all of the interactions with the QRT do not count toward the original tweet. i've seen cases where QRTs get more attention than an artist's original tweet and it sucks so bad. most artists (including me) don't like QRTs of our art

also, if you're going to comment on something someone rt-ed, untag them before you do so (twitter auto tags the person who rt-ed it which is kind of annoying...)

pros of twt:

idk why bc i have more followers on here but i get SO MANY more interactions on twt. am i just more approachable there?? who knows. i'd ask for feedback but i doubt i'd get any

ppl are more willing to share art on twt. i get MUCH BETTER share to like ratios on there (generally 1:4 - 1:5) than on here (around 1:10, many times much worse). it's really disheartening and one of the major reasons i'm no longer very invested in tmblr

AND ALSO!! i love those cute slice of life ones like barakamon, tanaka-kun wa itsumo kedaruge, kyoukai no kanata and hyouka!! i’m always watching new anime but i also rewatch most of the animes i’ve watched, some that i really like to rewatch (besides the ones i’ve already said, that i have rewatched a few times lmao) are karneval, yamada-kun to nananin no majo and servamp! they all only have one season of 12 eps and they’re rlly easy to watch, that’s why i watch them a lot lmao
